the history of the candle went back to the paleolithic times. Candles was meaningful for the caveman. candles didn’t only give caveman a heat source but also food and frightened animals away. Then came paraffin wax. The wax is a brittle non-vibrant solid found in oil. paraffin wax has a mixture of 20-40 hydrocarbon molecules. Its chemical formula is CnH2n+2. it’s solid at normal temperature and melts around 37 degrees Celsius and boils around 370 degrees Celsius. Paraffin wax was invented by Carl Reichenbach. He discovered paraffin wax while creating the act of efficientaly separating and the waxy material in petroleum. Uses of paraffin wax are electrical insulation, lubricants, candles, and paraffin wax and can be made into crayons.
