John F. Kennedy’s used “City Upon a Hill “speech as a way to connect with the audience and tell them about his future presidency. He wanted to approach them in an emotional way to try to persuade them to what he was saying easier. And he uses his example of him living there as his home town and that he wants his future grandchildren to live there. Every time he said something important he pause and emphasized the point a little more so people could understand and acknowledge the point.
He used a lot of quotes in his speech saying how he lived there and left to other states but no matter what that would always be his home town. He convinced and inspired the people all his true intentions of becoming President.
